ChatGPT
Open ChatGPT in your browser and go to Plugins (chatgpt.com/plugins).
Click +, then Add custom MCP server. Name it BuildPersona and paste the address above as a public endpoint, with OAuth sign-in.
Confirm the warning and create it.
Sign in to BuildPersona, or create your free account, and approve the connection.
Start a new chat, type @, pick BuildPersona and say “Set me up on BuildPersona.”
Custom connectors need a paid ChatGPT plan. On a company workspace, your admin may need to allow them first. Menu names can differ slightly between plans.
Claude (web and desktop app)
In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
Click + Add, then Add custom connector. Name it BuildPersona, paste the address above and click Continue, then Add.
Click Connect. Sign in to BuildPersona, or create your free account, and approve the connection.
In a chat, click +, open Connectors and switch BuildPersona on.
Say “Set me up on BuildPersona.”
Works on every Claude plan. The Free plan includes one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise, an owner adds BuildPersona under Organization settings first; then everyone can connect.

Run this in your terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code to sign in.

Do I need a BuildPersona account first?

Does it cost extra?
No. When your assistant writes the post, saving it costs nothing. Your first profile scan and first voice profile are free. Images and carousels use credits, and your assistant tells you the price before it makes them.
Can my assistant post to LinkedIn without me?
No. Your assistant can write drafts and schedule posts you have already approved. Every post needs your approval in BuildPersona before it can go out.
What can my assistant see?
Only your BuildPersona workspace, with the permissions you approve when you connect. You can disconnect it anytime in BuildPersona under Settings, Assistant access.
